Introduction

Creating a " Spatial Experiences" is an important part of architecture design. It involves the study and exploration of different spatial qualities that would bring out types of behavior or experiences within architectural spaces that would show a deeper understanding of the place.

Project 1 focuses on poetic architecture that shows the form of the spatial experience which tells a story of the Genius Loci of the place and delivers its true beauty. As Poetic architecture not only tells a story but leaves one feeling fulfilled.

Project Task & Overview

The site is a paddy field located in Kampung Sungai Haji Dorani. It is a group project and we were tasked to design a Poetic Journey Structure that brings out the true meaning of the paddy field and crafts the spatial experience. Each student was tasked to search and analyze two precedent studies relating to the Poetic Journey structure.

Students were given two-site ( site A ) an imaginary square site and ( site B ) a rectangular site. They are both hypothetical sites in the middle of the paddy field and were required to design a semi-open structure with a concentric or linear organization. Moreover, applying two or three Modifying Elements of Architecture which are:
